RE: Bathroom tips - water everywhere

Well for right now, I'm thinking maybe extend the shower hose so I can atleast run it up higher eliminating the low point drip.

RE: Bathroom tips - water everywhere

Thanks for the tip fordsooperdootydieselsmoker but I don't think it would fit in mine since my shower curtain does not travel in a straight line, it wraps around in the corner. I like the idea of maybe running the hose up high, but I'm worried about running it around the medicine cabinet and what not while still looking nice.

Bathroom tips - water everywhere

Well now that the season is over for me (all winterized and packed away) - I thought I would start work on some projects. My bathroom is always wet after showers. I spend 10 minutes after everybody is done showering to make sure we don't have any problems down the line. I have the factory installed shower curtain and my shower comes off of the back of the faucet in the vanity. I noticed that during showers water runs down the hose and drips all over between the shower basin and vanity. Does anybody have any tips to help me out with keeping my water off the floors besides laying towels all over?

RE: Cold weather sleeping

I just got done camping this past weekend. It was in the 20's and snowing. The tent ends were out and I slept in them just fine. I did have my hound and rottie keeping me warm and my wife slept on the couch (fell sleep watching tv) with the lil doggie. The furnace was all we needed to stay warm. We winterized today as many of the campgrounds in DE aren't open past November otherwise we'd be camping still.

RE: Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD Diesel

When I used my CRD Liberty (not a GC like you're looking at) I was towing my 23' Cabana and getting 19mpg out of it. With my Expedition (needed more room for my dogs) I get 10mpg.

RE: Is an extended warranty a good purchase?

I bought a 5 year warranty on my used 02 I got this past summer. To me, it was good money spent. Cost very little and with an older HTT like mine, I feel better knowing my gear is covered. I say just ask yourself if spending XX will calm concerns and let you enjoy it more then go for it.

RE: Solar Battery Charger

I'd prefer not to take the battery, because sometimes I stop by the storage lot at night and need to get something or check things out and I'd like to have my lights and all. I'll look at the 5 watter.

RE: Solar Battery Charger

I'd like to get something to keep my HTT's battery charged when I leave it for the winter at the storage lot. I was thinking about one of these. I don't want to worry about overcharging the battery though. Anybody got a good link for something cheap? Would the 5w one from HF work or would that overcharge? I pull the fuse for my LP detector when I store it.

RE: Hybrids at nice "luxury" RV parks

I've never stayed anywhere but a state park. I like the canvas and smallness of my HTT. I can go places the big guys can't.

RE: Which is the most economical vehicle to pull a 12 foot PUP ?

I gotta suggest something like the Flex too. Lots of room and a good WB for stability as well as a decent tow.

RE: Pontiac G8 Ute, will it be able to tow a RV?

Maybe it could be setup to tow small 5th wheels :) That would be sweet!

RE: Not Giving Jeeps Enough Credit

I give Jeep's credit out the wazoo. I don't tow with my Jeep anymore because I didn't have the space I wanted for cargo, but have not felt a difference with my Expedition when comparing it to towing with my Liberty.

RE: Well its winterized

I got one more trip to make this season in the end of November then I'll be winterizing, but in all honesty... I would camp even while winterized. I'd just use the public johns and showers. Small price to pay for some great winter scenery.

RE: Problems with Hybrids?

My 02 Cabana doesn't leak a drop. I'd like to put on newer latches but my HTT is in a storage yard or is with me camping so locking latches aren't a big deal.

RE: Suv vs Truck

I wound up getting an 05 Expedition. Almost 9000lbs towing and room to take the friends and dogs and all. We tried to figure out a way to make a truck work out for us, but we just couldn't get the room for people to jive.

RE: Problems with Hybrids?

I love my Hybrid. My wife doesn't ever want a full TT. I've never considered the condensation thing an issue. It might matter where you live for it to be a big or small issue. Setting up takes only a few minutes on the outside level. Pop the end out and put the braces in place. The rest can be done inside. It is still a trailer so if you don't wanna do it, chill on the couch and stuff until the weather changes :)

RE: TT why would you want one?

I went with an HTT (I know this is the TT section) for the fact that I like taking my dogs and most CG's don't let you tent camp with dogs. So a hard walled trailer is for me.

RE: Tow speed

I like 55-60mph. If I go any faster the mpg drops down to around 15mpg. At 55 it gives me around 19mpg. Plus, I'm in no hurry. I don't need to check in, I got my accomodations behind me :) Always drive at the speed most comfortable to you. If you're not comfortable, you're not safe.

RE: HHO/hydrogen generator sys

There were cars in the early 1900's using OHC engines. The OHC is only about 3 years younger than an OHV configuration. The history of the automobile is also loaded with examples of things the US brought to the road first. I think both engine configs have their place. As for the topic - this thing has been tested on so many tv shows (your local Fox affiliate has probably featured it on their "DOES IT REALLY WORK" segment) and it always fails to perform.

Overhead valve engines? V configuration engines? H engines? The history of the automobile is loaded with examples of the U.S. automakers being the last in the world to embrace new technology!
